I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend . Monday is here back to business . My daughter received a typewriter this weekend . She was so excited . I guess I never realized how much it bothered her that she couldn't just sit down and write something that everyone could read . She does write in Braille however she has to have it printed through a special printer something we do not have at home . She wanted something she could use to write a note to her friends, add a note to a greeting card there are so many things she can do with a typewriter . Sometimes the little things mean the most . Have a wonderful day .

Inspiration comes from the strangest places . I love the different shades of brown in this photo . I can see it becoming a future piece .
I don't always paint on canvas . sometimes it's fun to incorporate art in your home in unlikely places . This dresser I picked up at a local thrift store for $20.00 , originally it was green and cream . After a bit of sanding and staining it was ready for some artwork . I think it came out awesome and now proudly sits in my guest bathroom . I use it to hold towels , tissues , toiletries anything at all . It's fun to think outside of the box .
I just had to share . This piece is on it's way to the set of Pretty Little Liars. It will be used on an upcoming episode. I have had several of my pieces purchased for use on TV shows ans commercials, however every time is as exciting as the first time. Thanks for letting me share .
Would you have ever thought by looking at my artwork , that I am timid when it comes to color. Not all color, but color that I would have to live with for sometime. I have been trying to decide on paint colors , for the walls inside my home. Although I am comfortable within my four neutral walls I feel like it is time for a change. I've thought about an icy blue or perhaps a buttery yellow or maybe the infamous gray that everyone loves. There are just to many choices. How do you decide on color schemes within your home ? Do you find the perfect little throw pillow and work from that of maybe your favorite piece of pottery because it is the perfect shade of blue. I would love to hear what inspires you to choose what color to paint your four walls .
